Khanyisa Insurance Brokers is a comprehensive Short-Term BEE insurance brokerage. Khanyisa was started in November 2006 upon realising the need for an improved understanding/ education and supply of insurance-services, especially within the emerging previously-disadvantaged communities of South Africa and the enterprising opportunities that lie therein for a local empowered SMME.
Khanyisa is a fully FSB-FAIS licensed, rapidly growing and competent general insurance broker, with a driving ambition towards
developing insurance-related skills and facilitating the transformation of the South African insurance market.
Khanyisa has operationally formulated itself as a customer-centric enterprise, driven by a passion to add
social value and to ensure that its services remain relevant to meeting the customised or unique needs of each
client.
Clearly then, Khanyisa recognises that our insurance broker-services are deemed professional, requiring us to skilfully pay
attention to each client’s risk-exposure details and to continuously and creatively challenge the risk-transfer
mechanisms commercially available.

We have and continue to build our associations with all the major insurance carriers in the South African market. Should
the need arise - given our key partners’ past involvement (and previous employment) with some of the largest
Reinsurers on the globe - we have open and excellent relationships with the key suppliers of Reinsurance capacity
on the local and overseas markets.
Finally, it is to be appreciated that we are rapidly growing SMME (with 110% BEE status) and as ‘social-entrepreneurs’
our purpose and vision is to build quality local-capacity and know-how in this insurance services sector.
The Khanyisa team is led by a three member Executive team and the team assisted by seven additional support-staff all drawing on skills ranging across general insurance and reinsurance.
Khanyisa with its combined resources, know-how and expertise is uniquely positioned to provide a specific focus on sharing Pure Risk Management skills (property/project works) plus Benefits to both Emerging and Established enterprises (Corporates/Builders/Contractors/Developers and Individuals).
The partnership boasts in excess of 40 years of combined insurance knowledge amongst the team. The experience gained extends into Broking, Insurance and Re-insurance services mainly within SA but also across various regions in Sub-Saharan Africa, United Kingdom and Germany.
